Hello Dee. I am an internal medicine RN. I don't usually post on forums but time permits me to do so this evening. Sounds like you have very dry eyes. I think a visit to an opthomologist is in order. Some of your symptoms have the criteria for Sjogrens Syndrome. Some call it Sicca syndrome. It is an autoimmune disease but is treatable. An opthomologist can do tests on your eyes to determine how severe the dryness is and can prescribe lubricating drops and an ointment for bedtime. If it were me I'd see one asap and take it from there. Severe dry eyes can also be treated with punctual plugs if drops do not work. See an eye doc-soon. Hope I have helped a little.
Megan
