When I had LASIK in July 98, sensitivity to bright lights was one of the stated potential side effects. I had some trouble at first, but now it's limited to one specific soccer field. I always hope my daughter plays on a different one, but I manage.

If you were having trouble with this you would know it, so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

: Hi. I had laser surgery on my left eye a few years ago and seems to have worked a charm. But I have expressed interest in joining the police and they tell me that I have to under go a test to check whether I have become sensitive to bright lights (headlights of oncoming cars etc) before they will admit me. Has anyone heard of this as a side effect of the operation and if so, is there any detailed info on it anywhere?
