Have you discussed this with your opthalmologist? These recurring corneal abrasions are a curse, but there are things that can lessen the severity.

: Hi. I am dealing with yet another painful corneal abrasion. I get them very frequently for no rhyme or reason. My right eye is the one that is always affected and painful. It feels deep and as if something gritty is lodged in my eye. I wear glasses and not contact lenses because my vision is very poor for multiple reasons with optic atrophy. The atrophy is due to severe hypertension during my pregnancy. Why do I continue to get these painful things? I know it is best if I don't rub my eye but sometimes I can't help it. It just hurts so bad. Gradually over a few days it will heal and sooner or later i will get it again. Help if you can.
