: My eye doctor seems to think i have recurrent eye erosion, but I don't believe I have ever had an abrasion in my right eye. I wake in the middle of night because of the sharp pain. My eye will be very sensitive and waters alot. During the day the eye looks very healthy and my vision is good. It does irritate at times during the day, but my vision has never been a problem after an episode the night before. This has been going on long enough- I'm tired of it. If you have any suggestions please help me.

This sounds like the correct diagnosis. Use lubricating ointment for night time and also use a humidifier in your bedroom. Recurrent corneal errosions take about 6 months of no recurrences to heal - so you need to use the ointment for at least 6 months EVERY night.
