I have not had a name for this condition until very recently, however I have expericend, what I now know are optic migraines for over 20 years. It is unsettling when they start, but I've learned to live with them. I have been to a neurologist and an opthamologist and no one can tell me why I get them. The one thing the neurologist cautioned me against is taking birth control pills when you have this condition. I'm interested in learning about what causes this type of migraine also, however I have been unable to, to date. Marilyn
