: : : I am a 48 year old male who is booked for Lasik Eye Surgey in 3 weeks . I would appreciate receiving comments from readers who have had the procedure . Please indicate negatives as well as positives
: : I would advise against it...I had Lasik June 1 of this year and it is the worst decision I ever made..I was told I was a good candidate but was overcorrected and am having alot of trouble with vitreous floaters...the risks are not told to the patient...Matt
: I too was overcorrected. I had my surgery on June 1st 2000. How are your eyes now? Or anyone else who has had this experience. I am unable to see very well close up or far away. My eyes are pretty blurry, but, I have been told that this will correct itself within a month. Anyone have any comments. Chris
: I had an eye accident a few years ago; the result is that I have a tiny speck of glass embedded in the cornea. I asked about laser surgery and the advice was that in my case, it would not work. Generally, I was advised that it is not a good idea as the laser burns off the surface tissue of the cornea. It may grow back as clear tissue, but as with any burn, it is likely to grow back as scar tissue. Hence there may be blurred vision. Laser surgery to the eye is not a great idea!
