:I've had similar experiences when standing or looking upwards, the spells can last for days to weeks. My gp said I had labrinthitis and gave me antivert, I think you could use dramamine for the same relief, altho, antivert is not expensive. I just live with it now. Try having your ears checked for infection and give the dramamine a try.
: Hi Jon,
: What you are experiencing sounds almost identical to what my 15 old son seems to be going through also. We have been to eye doctors and retina specialists and all test come up fine. The doctors have no explaination for this phenomena. I have done some research on the internet and there is something called entopic phenomena, where you become suddenly aware of your white blood cells and are able to see them when looking at white backgrounds or up at the blue sky. My son sees these white dots all the time...day and night and it is very disturbing. We are still looking for answers.
: : Hi,
: : For the last 2 and a half years I have been suffering from vision problems, which are linked to other symptoms. I have had 2 MRI brain scans which came back all clear. The day is started was when I had a strange sensation of dropping, after tilting my head to see something (and getting up and down while fixing a stereo). The most scariest experience I have felt. Anyway since then I have had headaches, bad balance, dizziness and speckled vision, by this I mean thousands upon millions of dots when looking at the sky or pale walls or books/white backgrounds. Also I have a sense of my vision being unreal, like as if I wearing glasses or looking through a window. Doctors are no help anymore sadly as it seems I have cleared all tests from a eye doctor to field tests. Speaking of which when I had my field vision test I was staring at this white machine, and the more I stared (waiting for the light dots) the darker my vision got until the whole white turned in to zillions of black dots, moving. Also just a moment ago I was trying to fix my PC and I was just lying on the ground and when I stood up (slowly even) I got terrible white/silver dots, thick, shooting about and then for about 5 minutes I felt so light headed it was scary, felt like I was on a rope bridge. I am just fed up now I guess, I have lived with it for over 2 years and nothing seems to be able to be done yet it seems like something maybe could as I don't seem to have any growths or broken veins (or so to speak). I am not blaming anyone but I just wish there was something I could do or try. Does anyone have any idea what I could have or could try ? I have had blood tests but all seemed okay, yet this feels so much like blood pressure, surely it must be blood related to have such weird dots and nearly fainting on standing. Anyway I am no expert or doctor so who knows.
: : Any help would be much appreciated, thanks !!
: : Jon - Feel free to email me. Oh I am 21 by the way in case age matters for certain diagnosing.
