I was diagnosed with a form of corneal dystrophy about two years ago. For the type I have, PTK is an option, but Medicare is a problem. I don't want to gum up this board with details. If you're still stopping by periodically, you might want to email me. I've found out a lot about this. Be sure you know what's involved in a transplant before you undergo one! I have had PTK in one eye and am happy with the result, but our darling government won't let me get the other one done. Note:I didn't say they wouldn't pay; I said they won't let me have it, even if I pay!!!
