I am 24 year old male with optic nerve atrophy. I was diagnosed when I was 2 or 3 years old. It is still unknown to me whether disease is acquired or hereditary. In my case only one eye is affected and it doesn't progress ( I have like 2/20 vision in my left eye and 20/20 in my right eye ) School adapation wasn't a problem for me as well as working as a software engineer. Drop me an email if you have any specific questions, I do a lot of research on this topic. I am thinking about taking a gene test in order to identify cause of the disease ( if it is hereditary or not )

Regards,

Art

: : i have an eleven year old son with optic nerve atrophy and would love to chat with others who are familiar with this disease. School adaptations and other info would be helpful to talk to others about.

: my 15 year old son was recently diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy and i'm interested in finding out info on types of lighting , and any other resources, which could help him out
