hi ken,
forgive the delay pls.
Maxitrol is an eye ointment based on Dexammethasone (steroid),Neomycin Sulfate(antibiotic) and Polymyxin B Sulfate with preservatives, Here in Israel the trade we get is from Alcon-Couvreur Belgium, I dont know about you but your doctor surely may help you, this ointment you can't buy over the counter, because you need a prescription from your doctor.
I do hope I was explicit and I also hope youll soon feel better

: : : I have had red eyelids since I was a child. It was diagnosed as Blepharitis , and I was told to clean the area with baby shampoo and a q-tip. The skin around the eyelid is very sensitive , and will remain extremely red after any kind of rubbing etc. Of course , functioning in life with completely red eyelids is not an option. Over the past few years I have been using a dry skin colored cover-up powder on the eyelids to hide the redness. This works a little , but has to be re-applied several times a day.Anyone have any other suggestions/ ideas on looking "normal" with this chronic problem?
: Could you please tell me a little more about Maxitrol , and what exactly you mean by a "recipe"?
: Is this an oinment that takes away redness?
: Looking forward to your reply.
