Maxitrol is an eye ointment based on Dexammethasone (steroid),Neomycin Sulfate(antibiotic) and Polymyxin B Sulfate with preservatives, Here in Israel the trade we get is from Alcon-Couvreur Belgium, I dont know about you but your doctor surely may help you, this ointment you can't buy over the counter, because you need a prescription from your doctor.

: : : I have had red eyelids since I was a child. It was diagnosed as Blepharitis , and I was told to clean the area with baby shampoo and a q-tip. The skin around the eyelid is very sensitive , and will remain extremely red after any kind of rubbing etc. Of course , functioning in life with completely red eyelids is not an option.
