I had my surgery July 7. I did have both eyes done at the same time and elected mono vision. The lasik healed great. But for some odd reason I developed optic neuritis in my left eye after 2 1/2 weeks. Of course I can't find out any answers. But the good news both doctors feel it is unrelated just bad timing. The vision is starting to clear. At 4 weeks my vision for both eyes was 20-15 and still is today. My sister had her's done two weeks before me. The night halos just take a little longer to heal. I wonder why some doctors do both eyes together and some don't. I was under the impression it was an easier adjustment to have both done together. I was extremely near sighted before. Now I just need the dime store magnifiers to thread a needle otherwise things are great. Even the optic neuritis is starting to clear (after 8 weeks) Good luck hopefully time is all you need to. It is so hard to be patient.
: I had lasik surgery on my non dominant left eye a week ago. The procedure apperantely went very well
: with out any problems. I am farsighted at +3.5 and I have an astigmatism of -2.5. I was advised to do
: one eye at a time due to it being the most difficult combination to correct. The first two days post-op I
: noticed a gradual improvement in the blurriness. I have not noticed any change since. I am unable to
: see distances without any detail. They over corrected as per normal and I can see with extreme detail
: and clarity about 6 inches from my eye. I also see haloes at night around bright lights. Is this blurriness
: and halo normal? Am I being too impatient? How long does it take for people with my situation to heal?
: It's really hard to function with an extremely nearsighted eye and a farsighted one!
