On July,4th I was diagnosed with Scleritis. Was put on Prednisone tablets, eye drops.Did not work
Then I was given an anti-inflammatory and that did not clear it up.Was then given yet another anti-inflammatory and stayed on it for a month, nothing again.
Finally was told I have to go on Methotrexate, which suppress your red blood cells, white cells and plateletts.Very bad side affects
Have only been on it for a week,no side affects yet.
Scleritis is caused by an underlying cause which I was tested for many like,Lupus.Arthritis,Chest Ex-ray
many tubes of blood, all came back negative. Was told that it is an inflammation of the white part of eye and my cause is unknown my medical proffession.Does
anyone have any suggestions .Are there other tests that might help me find out what caused it and how to
get rid of it.This problem causes great eye pain.
Waiting to hear from someone with the same eye problem.
Debbie
