I LOST the long letter I just wrote to you and my neck hurts too much to write it again right now.
No, not thyroid related.
You may need to take one kind of med longer. My doc recommends three months to see what a med is going to do.
I started with Synthroid, and progress was slow.
This doc wanted me on Levoxyl, and it seems like I assimilate it better.
Tomarrow I begin the exchange of some T4 I was on, for T3.
T3 is four times as potent as T4, so cannot be exchanged, measure for emeasure or it can cause side-effects.
Tomarrow it will be
T4, Levoxyl, .112 mcg
T3, Cytomel, .5 mcg
The Cytomel exchange will be increased in 6 weeks if the effect is not good enough.
Whether or not you can get Dr. Ostrander for your regular endo,
perhaps you can see her for a second opinion, anyway.
This is a slow process so don't give up!
