I have a problem with numbness and tingling in my hands and feet, radiating up as it pleases. Doc at first thought it was herniated cervical disc and perhaps associated with MS (I have a sis with MS). After a brain MRI, he nixed the MS idea (thank God it "showed nothing up there"), but hasn't mentioned any further treatment in the way of a herniated disc. No insurance here, so I take what answers I can when I can get them. Next appointment in December, so perhaps I'll report back. Get it checked out with a second opinion, if possible. I know it's gotta hurt! FYI, I was diagnosed a couple of years ago and have sampled many things...Celexa, Vioxx and Soma were all no good for me. Have been on Elavil since I was diagnosed, with a very slow increase on the dosage. Celexa didn't touch the pain, Vioxx made me swell up like a cow (it was unbearable) and Soma wasn't worth the time to me. Am now on 30 mg. Elavil per night and 75 mg. Arthrotec 2x daily. Good luck!
: I was just wandering if anyone else with FM has these symptoms. I've asked my Dr about it but he thinks its anxiety, and wont discuss it with me. I dont think it is anxiety, because it feels more like a circulatory problem as if the blood supply to that area is decreased for some reason.Sometimes the feeling comes back & all symptoms with it go away after approx. 15 min. But it has lasted upto 2hrs. I have also had it happen at various tims during the day while riding in the car and while working. And let me add I dont experience other synptoms of anxiety. It scared me the first few times it happened but doesnt now because I know the symptoms will eventually go away. If anyone else experiences anything like this please let me know.
