My doctor treats me and my sister both for Fibromyalgia. He put me on something called Bupap and Bupap with codeine. The Bupap is fantastic. It does wonders. It does not put me to sleep at all. The one with codeine does make you sleepy but it is only used in severe pain. When the pain gets unbearable and nothing works, I can take the one with codeine and soak in a hot bath and will be feeling mobile, not perfect, but mobile in about 30 minutes.
