Its spelled Carotidynia. It is basically a painful throbbing of the neck arteries kind of like a neck migraine. From what i've heard doctors don't know much about it right now, i've been worried that I have it but I think I just may have swollen nodes in my neck that cause stiffness. But look up carotidynia up and do some research, perhaps ask the doctor if you have it, they have to do special tests.
