: I am sure that I have Fibro as a result of Hep-C , I have all the symptons especially severe joint pain. I have an appt. with a Rheumatologist on Wed. I was wondering if anyone out there had any advise for me. So far all the Dr. I've seen think I am trying to get painkillers because I'm some kind of junkie !

I'm real sorry to hear about your pain and Hepatitis C. What a nightmare... Well Ive gone to ALOT of MDs, Im a living expert on the bizarre world of Medicine> take alot of notes WITH you. Even if you only read 1/3 of them(which is what I do)... You HAVE To have that written down. Most MDs seem to enjoy creating an uncomfortable, unwelcome environment. It reminds me of walking into a Sacks Fifth Avenue, a very anaseptic and sterile environment Dont let them throw you off you gameplan. Just tell him about how severe the pain is and he Should know what to do. Ill pray he doesnt "bug" you . And dont forget to mention Sleep Problem if you have them They Do not resolve on their own. Good Luck and keep writing Im sure others have some decent advice for the Rheumatologist. ALmost forgot Tell him you want some Newer medications, otherwise they give you something Full of side effects!
