: I have had intermittent stabbing pains in my right foot (not left)gradually getting worse over seven years. They started in the big joint of the big toe, then the top of the foot, then to the ankle. No swelling. It can last for hours or even days. They move around randomly. Voltaren does not help.
: Help?

Your pain sounds similar to the ones I have experienced on my left foot for the last 10 years. I get the stabbing pains and also a throbbing in the joint of the big toe. Also have the pain on top of the foot right in the middle.

I went to see a podiatrist and he suggested orthotics. Don't know if you already use them. But my pain has subsided tremendously. It is getting better all the time. I went back to jogging again.

Hope this helps.
