: On April 7th, 2000 I had a calcified (scraping of the heel bone) bone spur removed from my right foot. I was told I would be out of work for 3 weeks, was put on disability for 3 months. I have spurs on my left and right feet. It has been 5+ months now and I still cannot stand for a long period of time on my feet (an hour). I have had 1 shot of cortisone and the dr wanted to give me another but since the first did nothing, I have currently opted not to do anything at this time with more cortisone. The doctor (Podiatrist) doesn't seem to know what to do, except by "process of elimination". I have a large knot on my heel and swelling/redness. I WOUD NEVER HAVE THIS SURGERY AGAIN!!
