I had a lisfranc fracture of my left foot in march 1996 after falling from my roof while painting. I was off work for 3 months, as I am in a job that involves standing for most of the day.
I found the first few months back at work very difficult, particularly if I had to stand in the same position for long periods or kneel down to do anything. After experimenting with several pairs of shoes I finally found some that were comfortable with good arch and ankle support.
Today I can do most things like roller-blading,tramping running short distances (I never did like running long distances) although I still limp badly if I try and go bare footed. I also get hot flashes and some pain in my ankle(which clicks a lot).
I would be interested in hearing from other people with this same injury as I have never met anyone else with it.
