: I also had a ganglion cyst on the interior of my left ankle. I was large - about the size of an egg cut in half. I had it operated on nine weeks ago today. I is not a minor operation - about two hours because the surgeon had to dissect it away from the nerve I was out about a week from work. And to this date I do not have any feeling in my heel. Either the nerve trauma or a cut nerve has caused this. There is also continuing pain and swelling. Before considering an operation, see what else can be done. I wished I had.
YIKES! The message from Jim posted early August worries me. I was scheduled for an earlier date, but I am now scheduled for out-patient surgery on my ganglian cyst this coming Wed. - Spt. 13th My doctor said I would need to take off work Wed. & Thurs. for sure and probably will want to take Fri. off as well. I tried having it drained, but it came right back. Also, have numbness in my 2nd toe and tingling between big and 2nd toes which doctor says may not be improved after surgery. I have achiness a lot from the pressure the cyst puts on my foot as a whole which is why I planned to have it removed. Now having second thoughts. How are you doing now, Jim?
