I would like to know anyone who could help me find a doctor that would perform a surgery on my toe.
In Jan 1999, I was doing gymnastics at a university. I dislocated my toe several times while I was there and they called it "turf toe". This was supposedly the same injury that Dion Sanders (football player) had. However, the doctors treating me for "turf toe" didn't know what to do. I have done rehab, electric stimulus, stayed off of it for months, tried working through it by taping it, and nothing has worked. My toe still dislocates. It will even dislocate inside my shoe if I was to run to hard or make a fast, sharp turn. I have had x-rays and an mri, and neither show a fracture or loose ligaments, yet you can tell a huge difference between the stability of both my big toes. I really want to be able to continue any kind of athletic sport. I believe someone can stabilize my toe and still give it mobility to move.
If anyone else is having a similar problem or could give me some new suggestions to try, please email me at email@example.com, or reply to this board.
Also let me know if there is another site I should look at that might provide me with some more information. Thank you, Jayme
