I just had a Bunionectomy 10 days ago. So far the pain has not been as bad as I expected. It was outpatient surgery and I was home the same afternoon. I had good pain meds that worked great for the first 4 or 5 days. I will warn you, the pain meds are not refillable. At least mine weren't. However, after a few days I really didn't need any.

I did go back to work, part time after 4 days. I am an office manager so I sit a lot, and I have to keep my foot elevated. I go back to the Dr. tomorrow to remove stitches. Hopefully everything will still be in the right place. The Pin in my foot stays in for another 2 weeks.

My biggest problem is staying off of my foot is driving me crazy. I work full time, have a part time business, and a farm full of animals that need care. My husband has been pretty good but he has a full time business also. Keeping the race horses fit and the barn clean is the biggest challenge.
