I recently had an ingrown toenail. The Dr. gave me antibiotics three days before removal of a tiny part of the nail and the root.(Am still on AB) The "surgery" itself was not painful. However when I got home, it was very painful after the numbness left. I could barely sleep for 2 days because ti was so painful. Now here is the problem, it is now exactly one week later, and my toe is still swollen. I cannot wear any shoes except for my Nike sandals because of the swelling. Actually where the surgery was done, it is not painful, but I think its painful because of the swelling. It still hurts to walk on it and my toes will nto stay flat...I think because the big toe is still swollen. How long does the pain and swelling last?
I do not know about you guys who say it was not painful...but thats what I keep hearing from people that its not painful, but mine still is. Is something wrong? Please post a reply or email me dirkthib@premier.net
