: I had an in grown toenal removed(big toe) several years ago and while a nail has grown back, it is not flat and tends to split down the middle and it is not as clear as my other nails. Does anyone know if this is a common occurence when a nail is removed? Also, what can be done to rectify this? Should I get the nail removed again? Would removal help to increase the chances of regrowing a flatter nail? Or is there any type of treatment available to make the nail grow back stronger and clearer? Please help!
I had my small toenail removed and it never grew back right. It gets soft and sometimes peel when I take showers. My doctor told me that the toenail will not grow back pretty. I don't have any suggestions. He even had the nerve to tell me to keep it painted. The nerve!!!!
