Dear Mike: I use nortriptylene at night. I take only 10 mg. I have arthritis of the spine and I am in constant pain. I was given nortrip. for sleep and nerve pain. (I have a lot of pinched nerves in my spine). I also take narcotic pain relievers and it seems the nortrip. works at night with the narcotic pain relievers to induce sleep, as well as help relieve the nerve pain. That is how I use it.
