I, too have had foot cramps, which seem to happen most often when the weather is cold, but not always. It is mostly in my toes, which just want to spread and then curve downward. The only thing that seems to help in the middle of the night is to get out of bed and walk on them to stretch them out. One night it was so bad, that I got up and soaked them in the hottest water I could stand, which did really seem to help. Hope you get relief soon, as it is painful and disturbing to your sleep.
