Well I had my surgery 4 weeks ago and am doing pretty well. The first couple weeks I stayed off
my feet as much as possible. It was kinda of a hassle because I live alone so had to do most
everything for myself. My daughter was home on week-ends to help. I'm really glad I had both
done at one time. I went to an orthopedic surgeon who specialized in ankle and feet. He was
recommended by someone I knew. It's hard to go blindly into it without a recommendation from
someone. You can always ask to talk to someone who had a similar surgery to yours and the
Dr should be able to give you a name. My doctor said it could be six months before I'm in my
regular shoes but the way it's going, I don't think it will be that long. But they look good, can't wait
