I am recovering from bunion surgery in August, and now my doctor wants to cast me for orthodics. I have heard conflicting stories about their worth. Besides the cost ($375), I'm concerned that they only will fit one type of shoe. I wear dress shoes for work, sneakers on weekends, and casual shoes at other times. Which do I pick? I'm not going to pay for three pairs of orthodics! By the way, I have flat feet. Does that make a difference? I would like to skip the orthodics, but I don't want to ruin my feet. Any advice?
