I have RSD and I know the terrible pain involved.
It is not in your head. It has been some of the worst pain I have ever endured. If you are not seeing a neurologist and undergoing intense physical therapy chances are the condition will
continue to advance. There are 4 stages to RSD you do not want it to advance! It can spread to your other foot. Most people never walk again unless it is vigorously treated with medication and physical therapy early.
I am currently in physical therapy, which involves warm and cold water therapy, I bathe my foot for 4 minutes in warm water and then 2 mintues in cold water switching back and forth for a total of 18 minutes and then have many exercises I do. I am also under the care of a neurologist, and take Nurontin 300 mg 3 times a day and viiox 25 mg once a day, I am improving now and hopefully soon I will walk again without crutches. Hope this information helps you.
