Hi. I am glad I found this board. I hope someone can help me with this. I have had foot pain for some time. It has gotten to the point where I am in alot of pain just trying to walk. In the last couple of weeks, I have spent alot of time on crutches the pain was so bad. I have been to the doctor twice and he is basically saying I need to have "reconstructive forefoot surgery". As I understand it, I have moderate to severe bunions on my great toes, and tailors bunions on my little toes. Also he said my metatarsals have dropped. He said it would be a long road to recovery from it, perhaps 3 months or more if I get both feet done at the same time, and longer if I do one at a time. Has anyone had to go through this? What should I expect? Should I have both feet done at once or one at a time? I'm really concerned (actually scared) about this. Any advice would be appreciated.
