I am having considerable success with stretching my achilles heel and foot in different ways. I do this about six times a day. In the morning and evening I follow that with a deep massage, pressing as hard as I can in different areas, using Eucerin cream (although other creams work well, also). If the pain is severe I use an ice pack. I am still not able to get back to my fast walking, however.
: I work for a company called Power Align that has developed a very good, inexpensive orthotic insert. Check it out at:

: : I have recently developed heel spurs and nothing works. Then my cousin told me that he had the same problem (when he first stood up it was painful but as he walk the pain lessened). His doctor told him that if he was operated on, it would most likely come back and that what he had was an inflamation. I plan to try some natural anti-inflamation products in the health food store before I try anything too drastic. Will let you know.
