On Sept. 9th i posted a message about my heel spurs on both feet and how i'm havine one of them treated with a "new" treatment using shockwave therapy. It's the same thing that's used for breaking up kidney and gall stones. On a scale of 1 to 10 I was about an 8 on Sept. 1. After a treatment that day down in Miami as part of a study I can honestly say my left foot feels like a 1 or 2 after walking around shopping. I also bought new sandals like the Birkenstock with a strap for support around the heel. I didn't have heel spurs until I started wearing orthotics, which did correct my feet from turning inward. I'm also taking only 1 800mg ibprofin a day instead of three. In the past nine months I've lost 30 lbs. too. The shock wave therapy called Lithotripsy is still not approved by the FDA until all seven sites around the country finish there work, but I want you all to know there is an alternative coming that doesn't require surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery too!
