: Go see a good osteopath, PT or massage therapist who can open up your ankle. Maybe see an acupuncturist. Sounds like trigger points in the muscle caused by the imobilization. Is your foot changing temp, color, smell? The quality of pain is also important; sharp vs dull, deep vs superficial, spasmodic vs constant, burning, tingling, etc. it makes for an important differential diagnosis. Flat feet should be using orthotics. Also sounds like a vascular defect, again, PT may be you best bet. See one who specializes in manual therapy. Myofascial release, craino-sacral, visceral manipulation. Good Luck.
