I had the same thing. I went to a foot doctor. He x-rayed it and found a small bone chip from the back of my heel. It had broke off somehow I really don't know how or remember injuring it. To make matters worse the tendon had grown around it. It was quite inflamed. The doctor gave me a shot of some steriod in the tendon. No it didn't hurt and made it feel immediatly better. The other option is surgery to remove the bone chip. I havn't decided weither or not to get the surgery. I am not without pain but it is much better. Good luck
