: Occasionally I get a couple of what seem to be blisters. They could even be blocked sweat glands. Usially I just lance them to release the "water" ans all is well after s day or two. Recently, 2 of these became infected, an even though I have used various ointments (foot specific and antiseptic) the "blisters" are still septic and bloody painful..Any Ideas?
Yes, you are probably developing palmar-plantar pustulosis, a type of psoriasis, that starts just as you discribe but it is not contagious, nor infected, they are sterile pustules. Not much helps except avoid stress and cigarettes, sometimes it just gets worse and sometimes just goes away. Look it up in the Dermatology listings.
