: I have a bunion on my right foot. It has gotten worse over the last few yrs. and MUCH worse over the last 6 mos. I finally got up the courage to go see a Podiatrist. Have an appointment this week. From all the info I have gathered, the only real cure for the pain is surgery.
: Believe it or not, I am 47 and I have never had any kind of surgery. Needless to say, I am very concerned. Has anyone else had this surgery? Is it extremely Painful? How long does recovery take?
: Any info would be appreciated.
I had to have my left foot operated on twice, because it came back. Mine is hereditary,
because I remember having them as a kid & the Dr. also mentioned it to me.
The 2nd operation I think was more of a sucess then the first, because the Dr. broke
the bone & adjusted it with pins, so it would have a better chance of not reoccuring.
I now need to get the right foot done, but I won't be able to do that until next year. It will
be tough, because that is my driving foot.
I had to be off my foot for alwhile, because of the broken bone.
Let me know what your dr. saids.
