My right heel feels bruised whenever I put weight on it. I teach kindergarten and must remain on my feet most of the day. I'm also overweight and have been going to Weight Watchers whereas I've lost 12 pounds. However, it's difficult to do my walking exercise with the pain in my heel. It is especially sore when I get up in the morning and after walking 20 minutes or so.

Could this be heel spurs? or something else? What can I do to alleviate the pain?
