: My problem is I'm having a weird sensation in my 2nd and 3rd toe on one foot. It's like numbness but I can feel something when I touch it. I feel like my sock is bunching up under my toes when it isn't. I haven't had any pain. I also have web toes. Having a really thick nail on the one toe, the Dr. thought removing the nail may help. It hasn't. He did an untrasound and said I have a neuroma. He said the next step is cortisone and orthotics. Is this a waste of time and money? Isn't surgery the best option? Please email me with your comments. Thank you!

I have the same on both feet for almost 3 years. I suspect it had something to do with golf shoes that were too tight. Tried custom orthotics twice. No luck. Am not diabetic as per three diff=erent blood test results. It's not aneuropathy, nerves work fine accoring neurologist and Conductitivity (EMG?) tests. Am trying the Alzner barefoot orthotics at present and find some early relief at last. Will post update in a month. I am optimistic, they feel very good.
