Dave and Susan:
You both indicated the same symptoms of burning, discoloration and numbness that I had following my fracture. Do you also have pins and needles, temperature changes, stabbing pain and hypersensitivity? I was diagnosed with RSD and was subsequently treated for such. I guess it is common with the Lisfranc fracture and it can also occur with just a sprain. Have you two been to a neurologist or pain clinic to get evaluated? RSD causes horrible pain, independent of the traumatic arthritis. If you haven't looked into it, do yourself a favor and call a pain clinic (anesthesiologist). They gave me Neurontin and Elavil which reduces some of the symptoms, while I was treated with nerve blocks. Check out a RSD web site for more info. Keep me posted.
