Hi Garv; Sorry for repeating your message - got "hung-up" !!! For many years I have had problems with ingrowing big-toe nails. Last week I went to a local podiatrist and he removed about 1/3 of the nail from the inside as well as the outside edges, leaving a "strip" of the nail on the top. Cost was $135.00 total (both left & right nail) and painless. I have been wearing sandals for four days without much discumfort or problem. I don't know whether you are Canadian or American but the cost should (?) probably be about the same. For years I had tried the whole "home treatment" of "V" clipping, scraping the top surface, cutting short, allowing to grow a bit etc etc etc. My sister-in-law had her whole nail remeved a while ago for about the same cost; +/-$70.00 each nail, and was pleased with the results. I think you should investigate this route, find out the cost and put an end to your suffering. Good luck; Derek
