Yeah Andrea your surgery does not sound as extensive as mine. After my pins came out 2 weeks after surgery I was walking about, not normally but it sure was a pleasure to get rid of those crutches. Now almost 4 weeks after surgery I am basically walking about (although I am still wearing that lovely post-surgical shoe, LOL. I must have a high tolerence for pain because I was never in a great deal of pain during recovery. My big toe after surgery was numbed and I could not feel a thing even when the pins were yanked all I really felt was shock. A couple more weeks and I should be wearing sneakers at least. Yeah my surgery was extensive compared I am not a doctor but if you are healthy you should be fine and up and about. The healing period is vital thats why I am taking my time and not rushing back to work (short term disability) I am relaxing and healing. Sorry to run on so. take care of yourself everyone!!
