: I always have aching only in the bones on top of the foot - the right one worse than the left. When I was a child, I was run over by a car - my feet, and wondered if this could be the cause of my foot pain in my bones today. The accident was 50 years ago. I had this foot pain for 8 years - some days no pain or slightly, and some days so bad I can hardly walk at all. I don't have
diabetes. Any thoughts on this - please.
-I have been seeing a podiatrist for a year now. I originally was treated for a heel spur on my right foot...and given a cortiseno shot which helped greatly for 2 months. Visited dr.again. I had an ray done only to find out I did not have heel spurs, but planta fashia ?. I will always have discomfort/pain, but exercises are suggested for me to stretch the ligaments. This will reduce the pain. Also I have a gel insert to help me get a slight lift on my foot. Also I wear New Balance sneakers (suggested by dr.) However, I've had great pain on my top of foot, as if my bones were brken or i sprained ny joints...dr. dr. said it's a result of my planta fashia--its arthritis of the joints (3rd positioned joint for me)I am only 40yrs. and started weight watchers since I too am over weith. I lost 20 lbs, w/ 20 more lbs to go. I do not think it will matter (the weight), but I'll try anything to have good use of my foot again. This discomfort and sometimes pain came on too fast & w/o warning. Dr. recommends I stay off it as long as I can, other wise I'll aggravzte it...get real...right. Good luck.
