Having bunion surgery done on one foot in August and boy am I scared! I have heard many horror stories about how painful it is! Would love to know: Is my podiatrist an okay choice to do it rather than an orthopedic surgeon? How long will the pain be unbearable? Will I be able to comfortably take my son to college three weeks after my surgery? I am having I.V. sedation in the hospital (outpatient) and am 48 years old. Any feedback on your experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
