I have had one opinion from podiatrist (which I do know that this bunion will require surgery) and will get second opinion from orthopedic surgeon. Podiartist exray revealed arthritis and bone separation. I am not certain of the procedure to correct this and was wondering if surgery does help tremendously or is there a long period of pain. Does this pain ever cease? I am concerned that it will not help a lot and from some of the other comments that I have read, it may not really be worth having surgery. Just don't know what to do at this point.Has anyone out there had the surgery and is 100% happy with the results? If so, was your surgery performed by a podiatrist of orthopedic surgeon? How long before you could put weight on your foot/walk?
