: :I am a massage therapist. My father and my uncle have bunions, on one foot only. I try to aleviate the pain they feel, whe the bunion hurt, by giving them a foot massage, specialy around the bunion. My advice to people with bunions is : to wear sandals whenever they can. Also to wear dress sandals, leather sandals , at work, if the employer allows them. When travel, also try to wear sandals or tongs, to minimize the pain.If you are overweight, try to loose some weight. This will help you a lot.I hope this advices help everyone with this problem. looking to chat with other men who have bunions? how do you cope? surgery?
: I got one on the right foot. I have been feeilng it for about a year, but being a man, I procrastinated. So far the doc has me on some anti-imflamatory drugs, which help but is not a cure. I am considering a orthotic. Do these work? I have been told they are between $150 & $400. I don't want to spend it if it isn't going to help. Thanks.
