: Hi everyone:
: I can't find this problem on any website or board. Has anyone experienced this, and was there a cure? Both my toes next to the little toes have the same problem. The toenails used to be flat, but the centers have raised up and the nails are only about 1/4" wide now. It is like the centers have risen and brought the sides in, or the sides have moved in, pushing the centers up. The nails are very thick or maybe it's just the flesh under there. This is NOT painful like ingrown toenails. The only pain involves the following. The bottom of these toes have turned slightly under the middle toes so that when I walk, the middle toes press on them and sometimes cause blisters. These are also the same toes that, for many years, will suddenly cramp sharply for a day or two, making it difficult to walk without curling them under. I realize this all sounds really wierd; but it's becoming a major problem, as I have a job that requires me to walk about 8 of the 12 hours a day at a hospital. Thanks. jb
jb--I too have the same and dr. said it is from a toe nail fungus--I know that sounds kind of gross, but he said it is very common. There is meds that you can take for it but it takes months to work.
