: : Does anyone have information about the effectiveness of accupuncture with foot neuromas? I am trying to avoid steroid shots or surgery.

: Rita, I don't know if accupuncture relieves the pain of neuroma but I do have first hand experience with the surgery ( on both feet). For years I endured the pain of the neuroma and tried many approaches to relieving it but to no avail. Then I decided to opt for the surgery and have been PAIN FREE since. The thing I regret is that I waited so long before having it done. If you ever decide to go for the surgery, check with an orthopedic surgeon. Good luck to you.

hi, I just had the surgery - it was not bad, I danced at a party 2 weeks after surgery(with my orthopedic shoe!) the toes are a little sore, but nothing compared to the pain I had before - injections are only a short term solution! Good luck!
