I have had heel spur surgery on both feet. The right foot in 1995, which went well. The pain gradually faded over a 6 month period.
Surgery was done on my left foot in August, 1999. I have been in pain ever since. The pain is not consentrated in my heel (although I do have some there), but more so around my ankle. Two months ago, my doctor gave me a heel cup to wear (which I do at all times). It has helped some, but I still can't be on my foot for long periods of time.
My exercise of choice is walking. I was up to 6 miles a day when I started experiencing problems with my feet. I am beginning to wonder if I will be able to seriously walk again. I am trying to keep my chin up. Please help.
Has anyone else had this kind of prolonged pain, if so do you have any suggestions?
