You need to see a doctor. There are many causes of water retention including heart failure and kidney failure. The pitting is an especially bad sign.
: Hi all. What exactly is water retention? And why does it occur? I'm a 34 yr old male, and for whatever reason I seem to be retaining water. It appears to be pitting around my ankels and knees. It appears to come and go. Any suggestions????
